IBPS Selection Procedure 2023: Common Written Examination (CRP PO/MT): Candidates need to appear for the Common Written Examination.
which consists of a preliminary exam and a main exam. Both exams are conducted online.

  1. Preliminary Examination: This is the first stage of the selection process and consists of three tests:
    English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. Candidates must qualify in this exam to proceed to the main exam.
  2. Main Examination: Those who qualify the preliminary exam will take the main exam.
    which includes four tests: Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness, English Language, and Data Analysis & Interpretation.
  1. Interview: Candidates shortlisted based on the main exam’s performance will be called for an interview.
  2. Provisional Allotment: The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the main exam and interview. Successful candidates will be provisionally allotted to various Public Sector Banks.

  1. Preliminary Examination: Candidates need to clear the Preliminary Examination, which is the first stage of the process. It includes tests in English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability.

  2. Common Interview: Once candidates successfully clear the Main Examination, they are called for a Common Interview conducted by IBPS. This is the final stage of the selection process.

IBPS Selection Procedure 2023: Online Examination

The examination for IBPS PO/MT will be conducted in two phases: Preliminary and Main exams. The Preliminary exam has 100 marks and lasts for 1 hour.
while the Main exam has 200 marks and lasts for 3 hours 30 minutes.

For wrong answers, there will be a penalty of 0.25 marks deducted. However, no negative marking is applied if a question is left blank. All the tests, except the Test of English Language, will be available in both English and Hindi.

The scores obtained by candidates in different exam sessions will be normalized using the equi-percentile method.

candidates need to achieve a minimum score in each test and also a minimum total score in the exams.

Common Interview: 

Candidates who pass the Online Main examination for CRP- PO/MT-XIII will be called for an Interview.
which will be organized by the Participating Organizations with the help of IBPS. Interviews will be conducted at selected centers.

The Interview carries a total of 100 marks, and to qualify.
candidates must obtain at least 40% marks (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates). The weightage for the CRP Main exam and the Interview will be in the ratio of 80:20, respectively.

The final scores of candidates will be calculated based on their performance in CRP- PO/MT-XIII and the Interview. To be considered for provisional allotment.
a candidate must clear both the CRP and the Interview and obtain a high merit rank.

Allotment:

After the interview, candidates will be provisionally allotted to a Participating Bank based on their merit and preference. This considers the vacancies for 2024-25, business needs, and government reservation policies. If candidates have the same score, age is considered for merit order.

If two or more candidates have the same score, their merit order is decided based on their date of birth. The candidate who is senior in age is given higher priority in the merit order.
compared to the candidate who is junior in age, following the usual practice.
